Suggestions for Implementing YSO
Establish four points of contact for communication, participation and continuity of organization partnership.
- Board Liaison Director - organization's representative on policy, agreements and program development.
- Staff Liaison - information and logistics, expertise, process continuity
- Program Area Lead Contact - co-ordinates implementation across key elements of organization such as regional, urban/rural, large/small group, beginner/advanced, age groups, roles (e.g., Board, managers, leaders, parents).
Key functions
- Assist in increasing awareness of applied risk management system and role of YouthSafe Outdoors resource using existing communication channels.
- Advise the Board of Directors regarding the suitability of YSO resources, recommendations for the organization's applied risk management systems and on-going use of YouthSafe Outdoors and/or other risk management resources.
- Advise YouthSafe Outdoors on future product development, distribution and delivery methods to serve the needs of end-users within the organization.
- Advise organization pertaining to involvement and use of in-servicing and Train-the-Trainer opportunities.

- Presentations and training at leadership development or association Annual General Meetings, Conferences

- Joint funding requests for help to develop, customize, or assist with implementation of applied risk management resources for organization specific implementation of YouthSafe Outdoors based systems.
